![]() There are multiple reasons behind the Total War Rome Remastered crash at startup issue and here is how to fix it. PC Players are reporting that Total War Rome Remastered is crashing at launch or not starting at all. This will lock the game at 30 FPS and will fix the D3D11 error or DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG error with Total War Rome Remastered. Turn on “Max FPS Limit” and set the value to 30. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > select Total War Rome Remastered from the list or add it if it’s not there. If players are targeting 60 FPS, then cap Total War Rome Remastered to 30 FPS. If you are playing the game at an unlocked FPS, then cap the game at 60 FPS. In case the error persists, then players can either use MSI Afterburner and reduce the GPU clock by 100 Mhz or players can cap the game’s max FPS. In either case, do a clean installation and the D3D11 Error or DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG error will be fixed. Update your GPU driver or reinstall it if the driver is already up-to-date. One reason for this error to pop up is the GPU driver.
